What do we look for? Who do we Believe in? Hope in What?
A Man named Ether Had a thought;
Ether 12:4
Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.
Can you Image yourself on the right hand of God? Wow, is there a chance, I think so, Ether does to, (he was a good guy), Why not?
In the Bible Paul Wrote about this too;(he became a good guy)
Titus 1:2
In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began
God promised, and he will give it to all who would keep his comandments. I have felt and understood that from my studying and Prayer.
Hope is the anchor of our souls. Nephi admonished those of his day, “Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men … , feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life.” 2 Ne. 31:20.
ReplyDeleteEverybody in this life has their challenges and difficulties. That is part of our mortal test. The reason for some of these trials cannot be readily understood except on the basis of faith and hope because there is often a larger purpose which we do not always understand. Peace comes through hope. James E. Faust
